The Seven Principles Of Man
The Seven Principles of Man expounds the Theosophical teaching that Man is a seven-fold being. The nature of man can be regarded as having seven aspects, or being composed of seven principles.
The True Self is One, and is Universal, and subsequently clothes itself in numerous garments. Each ‘garment’ belongs to it’s own region/dimension/plane, and, as such, these ‘garments’ enable the True Self to gain knowledge and experience of the specific regions through contact.
Consequently, as the Self gains experience, its latent potentialities are gradually manifested and brought into active use.
